Mommies making money with social media

NEW YORK – ‘Shmooze.’  Merriam Webster defines it as friendly and persuasive, informal conversation.  When Jody Samuels organizes a ‘shmooze,’ it means business.
An Upper West Side Manhattan rooftop room was the setting for the latest ‘Shmooz,’ a targeted marketing event – virtually a live infomercial – designed to introduce would-be social media entrepreneurs to technology and savvy social media mentors with strong Jewish credentials. This fine-tuned marketing ‘tool,’ brings together potential entrepreneurs from a range of professional backgrounds and invites them to participate in social media networks aimed at developing commercial and community benefit. Organized of Jody Samuels and JMedia, the events are opportunities for a panel of successful bloggers to present their experiences – and successes – and invite community members to add their own commercial- or service-based blogs to the network.
